Ceramic tiles are primarily made up from clays, quartziferous sands, glass substances and other minerals which are mixed with water and fired at very hot temperatures to create a glazed tile that is durable, tough and natural beautiful.
Because of their higher density, porcelain tiles are less likely to absorb moisture which makes them more durable and more resistant to staining. Porcelain tiles are frequently found in floor applications, outdoor areas, and in cold weather climates where freezing can occur. With their low absorption capability they are less likely to crack in cold weather climates.
Technological advances over the past few years mean that porcelain tiles can now replicate the look and feel of ancient natural stones, with no two tiles exactly the same. Whilst having the look of real stone, they need no sealing with low maintenance.
What’s more the same tiles can be used on wall and floor. Our specialist portfolio of tiles and mosaics provides a huge selection from which to choose.
